Girl from Dagda, Latvia

Every year on June 23, on the shortest night of the year, Latvians celebrate the Summer Solstice locally called "Ligo" and the following "Jani". People sing and dance, awaiting the sunrise.

Traditionally girl wear crowns of flower and the costumes with this particular one  coming from Dagda disrict (Latgale region).
