Paris Trip

In 2013, I went to 3 cities in 3 countries at West Europe.

The first destination was Paris, the home of Eiffel tower and the Louvre museum.

You have already known this famous place. Yes, this is the Arc de triomphe monument, located at the center of the Place de l'Etoile.
It was built to honors who fought and died at the French Revolution.

This is Luxor Obelisk, (the Egyptian obelisk from the Luxor temple), located at the place de la Concorde (the largest public square in Paris) near the famous Champs Elysees. It is one of the two the Egyptian goverment gave to French in the 19th century. The other one is still in Egypt because the lack of the technology at that time to shipping it to Paris.

The famous landmark of Paris ...... Eiffel Tower

Do you like shopping? Or just window shopping? Visit the Galeries Laffayete, the well know department store in Paris

Near Galeries Laffayete there is a Roman Catholic church, The Eglise de la Sainte-Trinite, built between 1861 and 1867 and designed by Theodore Baillu.

Palais Garnier is an opera house near The Galeries Laffayete

When you are in Paris don't forget to visit LIDO, to watch the famous cabaret show (dance and singing). LIDO is located at Champs Elysees rue

I think you have to experience the night cruise by boat at Seine river.
The well known boat operator is Compagnie des Bateaux Mouches founded by Jean Bruel.
Its a romantic Paris cruise.

Yaquina Bay Bridge, USA

The graceful span of Yaquina Bay Bridge is framed by spruce and coastal pine as a 44 foot Coast Guard motor like boat heads for open sea.

Like many coastal Oregon bridges built during the Depression it was designed by state engineer Conde Mc Cullough.

With a span of 3.260 feet, it was completed in 1936, standing 245 feet at his highest point and 138 feet at deck level.
